Ha Ha Ha! It seems I've neglected this poor little blog.
Good thing they don't kick you off the Internet for such shenanigans.
I just love when life takes over and you're caught up in the flow of
things, which is exactly what happened here. Then there was Peru-I
hiked the Inca Trail-which was a whole thing. Of course I'll document
that here as it took up so much of my time anyway!
First let's get this house business caught up!
Yes, we've moved in! No, I'm not nervous anymore.
My house is awesome, I love it madly. I am most definitely
emotionally attached to this little cutie.
There were a few blips in the process. For one thing-have I written of
this yet?-upon move in we discovered the electrical upgrades had not
been done, despite their completion being a condition of sale.
Those fuckers!
We got the lawyers on it and it seems the women we were buying it from
declined to inform us that they were unable to find an electrician in time but
one was scheduled to come in a month after our possession date. Funny how
they never thought to tell us that.
FINE!
We just held some money back, they had a bit of a hissy fit but in the
end, the house was converted to 100amp power and the issue was resolved
without too much stress. (Lawyers are awesome for shit like this)
I'll never forget the words of EPCOR guy as they left me that day " Enjoy your fancy new power" My hero! And I have been. Although truth be told, I don't notice a difference. I sure do appreciate it though!
I felt at home here right away. We all did. This house suits us very well even if
it is the ugliest one on the street!
I shall return (sooner rather than later) with a run down of these past months.
Things died and money was spent!
