Or at least I think we did. It's been so long since our offer was
accepted and conditions removed, that I can't really remember...
I'm packing, I have a sudden desire to visit Home Depot and Lowes,
there is a lot of talk about lawyers and insurance.
Guess we'll find out for sure when we take possession in a month!
I thought it'd be fun to record our adventures as first time home owners
here in the wonderful city of Edmonton, Alberta, where you can still get
a decent home for 200, 000 buckaroos. We'll be moving from a rather
pricey large townhouse to a teeny tiny cute little box, located in central
Edmonton.
I've gotta admit that while I'm excited to be in my very own place where I can
paint the walls red and own as many animals as I want -bugger off, city by-laws.
You're not the boss of me!- I am feeling the loss of all the space I have now. Sure,
I don't need all this room and yes I have declared many (many) times that smaller is
better for so many different reasons, it's just that... I don't know. I'm anticipating a
period of adjustment and my inner brat is throwing a fit!
Join us-Lael, Dee and Sea- as we bumble our way through insulation, grading,
kitchen and bathroom remodels...siding installation, new windows...landscaping...
floor refinishing...plumbing, furnace installation...and regular maintenance, repairs
and chores. Hmm. That seems like a lot of work.
Will the switch from renters to home owners be fun and exciting or will
you get to watch us unravel? I`m guessing it'll be a little bit from column A and a
little bit from column B!
