Take Notice!

Giving notice to terminate tenancy is so much more
satisfying when:

A. You're leaving to move into your own home

B. You're leaving because of and just before a
25% rental hike comes into effect.

Take that, crooks!

And yes, I know about business being business and
blah blah blah.

I just don't care.

Just like this new company doesn't care that good
people have been left scrambling to find suitable, affordable
housing in a city with a crappy-for tenants-rental market.

I do however, take great pleasure in watching these units
empty en mass and then not fill back up again.

And of course I'm grateful we were in a position to buy our
own place. A place I will be moving into, in less than a month!

We should be hearing from our lawyer soon. We should also
be packing and phoning the utility companies and getting
some home owners insurance and cleaning and planning.

My friends ask me "You must be getting so excited?!"

Nope. Not feeling anything. Isn't that the oddest thing?

But I'm a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl. You'll see.
It'll all work out.
